Position: Front-end/creative developer

Reports To: Creative Director

Employment Status: Full Time, Permanent

You’ll be part of a small creative team and responsible for bringing creativity to life with your code for our clients. The opportunity will be to lead and eventually build a development team around you as the agency grows. This is a great opportunity to make the role your own and really help build a strong development capability in the agency.

What are we looking for?

• Solid programming, software and web development skills in front-end environments

• Expert working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, SASS, CSS3 animations and SVG

• Expert working knowledge of JavaScript language Object-oriented programming

• Knowledge of PHP, MySQL with any modern MVC framework is a plus

• Experience with build tools like Gulp or Grunt

• Experience with testing and debugging across a variety of popular browsers and devices

• Knowledge on how to use Photoshop

• 2 years of proven experience building web experiences for mobile, tablet and desktop

• An impressive portfolio of past projects

• A visual aesthetic and sense of design for animation

• Excellent animator, familiar with baked and custom eases, tween engines and procedural animations

• Attention to detail with well-crafted code & pixel-perfect integration skills

• Passionate about your craft and exploring new technologies

• Strong oral and written English communication skills

• Strong ability to problem-solve and work in collaboration with the Creative Directors

• Works well in a team and is good at managing their time

• A good communicator – you will be expected to collaborate and bring ideas to the design team on concepts. Good management skills with the ability to manage and nurture other developers on projects.

• The ability to multi-task

• Likes the colour green and not scared of animals

• Make a good cup of tea

Nice to have:

• Working knowledge of back end systems architecture
